The ResMed AirFit™ F20 Headgear is designed to provide a secure, comfortable and reliable fit for your full face CPAP mask system. Compatible with both AirFit™ F20 and AirTouch™ F20 masks, this replacement headgear helps maintain proper mask positioning and seal performance throughout the night.
Headgear is the quiet cause of most "my mask suddenly started leaking" problems. The straps hold their tension for months and then slowly give, and because it happens gradually you compensate by tightening — which is why a stretched set of straps usually shows up as red marks and sore spots before you notice the leak. If a new cushion hasn't fixed your fit, the headgear is almost always the part that has gone.
Made from soft, flexible materials, the F20 headgear distributes tension evenly across the head, helping reduce pressure points and mask movement during sleep. The adjustable design allows for a personalised fit, while the magnetic clips provide quick attachment and removal without undoing your strap settings each night.

Both versions fit the same F20 frame and work with any cushion size. The difference is the cut of the straps, not the mask they fit.
Headgear is not interchangeable between ResMed mask families — strap lengths and clip fittings differ. Check the model printed on your frame before ordering.
New headgear holds far more tension than the stretched set you're taking off, so your old settings will be much too tight. Start from scratch.
If the straps have gone, the rest of the mask is the same age. These are the other three parts of an F20, each on its own schedule.
Fabric headgear lasts longest with gentle hand washing. Heat and machine agitation are what destroy the elastic.
Stretched or worn headgear can undermine an otherwise good mask fit, since it's the straps that keep your frame and cushion held securely in position all night. As a genuine ResMed component, this replacement is built to the exact specification of your AirFit F20 or AirTouch F20 mask, restoring even tension and a snug, adjustable fit. The included magnetic clips also mean you get back the quick on-and-off convenience the system was designed around, rather than fighting with stiff or stretched-out straps. Since your existing frame, cushion and elbow all connect to it as normal, it's a simple, targeted fix rather than a full mask replacement.
This headgear contains magnets. The magnetic field may interfere with implanted metallic or electronic medical devices and with some metallic implants. Keep the clips at least 50 mm (2 inches) away from any such device at all times — including when handling, storing or drying the headgear.

This listing includes the headgear and magnetic clips only — the mask frame, cushion and elbow assembly are not included and are sold separately.
Before use, confirm the headgear is compatible with your existing frame and cushion, and inspect it regularly for stretched fabric, frayed edges, or clips that no longer hold securely. Do not over-tighten the straps to stop a leak; a leak that only tightening can fix usually means a worn cushion or the wrong size. If you notice persistent leaks, discomfort or any change in mask performance after fitting, discontinue use and consult your CPAP provider or healthcare professional.
