Made from medical-grade silicone, it adapts to a wide range of facial shapes to create a secure seal and help reduce air leaks, so your machine can deliver consistent therapy throughout the night.
The cushion is the only part of your mask that touches your face all night, and it's the part that wears out first. Silicone softens and stretches with nightly use, facial oils and washing, and once it loses its shape the seal starts to break down — air hissing past your cheeks, water running into your eyes, a mask you keep tightening, or leak figures creeping up on your machine.
Replacing the cushion restores the seal and the comfort for a fraction of the cost of a new mask. Your frame, headgear and strap settings all stay as they are — only the sealing part is renewed.

All three sizes fit the same F20 frame, so changing size later never means buying a new mask — only a new cushion. That's exactly why a single is the right first purchase.
Both fit the same F20 frame, so you can switch freely. They suit different people, and they are cared for completely differently.
Cushions are not interchangeable between ResMed mask families — each is moulded to a specific frame. Check the model printed on your frame before ordering, and if you're unsure, ask us first.
A fresh cushion seals with far less tension than the worn one you're taking off, so your current strap settings will be too tight. Over-tightening a new cushion is the fastest way to wear it out early.
The cushion wears fastest, but it isn't the only part with a schedule. If your mask is more than six months old, the cushion may not be the only thing causing the leak.
Regular cleaning extends the life of your cushion and helps maintain hygiene for safe, effective therapy. Silicone is fully washable — unlike memory foam, which must only be wiped.

Magnets and implanted medical devices. This cushion contains no magnets. However, the AirFit F20 headgear uses magnetic clips, so the assembled mask is not magnet-free. Magnets can interfere with implanted devices and metallic implants. Consult your doctor and your device manufacturer before using a mask with magnetic clips if you or anyone sharing your bed has:
If any of these apply, speak to your clinician about ResMed's non-magnetic (NM) headgear options before use, and keep magnetic components at least 150 mm from any implanted device.
Confirm the cushion matches your exact frame model and size before use — an incorrect fit reduces seal quality and therapy effectiveness. Do not share a cushion between users; cushions are single-user items. Inspect the cushion regularly for cracking, stiffening or discolouration and replace it if the seal is compromised. Never block or modify the mask vent, which sits in the elbow and is how exhaled air leaves the mask; a blocked vent allows carbon dioxide to build up inside the mask.
Please refer to the official AirFit F20 user guide supplied with your mask for complete information on contraindications, warnings, precautions and instructions for use, and consult your healthcare provider to confirm this product is appropriate for your therapy needs. If you notice persistent leaks, discomfort, skin irritation or any change in mask performance after fitting, discontinue use and consult your CPAP provider or healthcare professional.
Disposal and the environment. Do not dispose of this product with household waste. Dispose of it in accordance with local regulations for medical devices. Packaging materials are recyclable where facilities exist.
