Improve the comfort of your CPAP therapy with the CPAP Hose Cover – 6 ft Soft Fleece Sleeve. Designed to fit both standard and heated CPAP tubing, it adds a layer of insulation that helps reduce condensation (rainout), cuts hose noise and keeps cold tubing off your skin.
Rainout is a temperature problem, not a machine fault. Warm, humidified air leaves the machine and travels down a tube sitting in a cool bedroom; as it cools it can no longer hold the moisture, so water condenses inside the hose and eventually arrives at your face. Insulating the tube keeps the air closer to the temperature it left at, which is why a simple fleece sleeve often makes a noticeable difference on cold nights.
Made from ultra-soft fleece, the cover also stops the tubing feeling cold against your skin and protects it from everyday scuffs and abrasion. The full-length design fits most 6 ft (1.8 m) hoses, and the closure lets you fit and remove it without disconnecting the tubing.

A cover goes around the outside of your hose, so what matters is the outside of the tube and its length — not the internal bore figures you may see quoted elsewhere.
If you use heated tubing, check your tubing's own instructions. Insulating a climate-control hose may mean it reaches its target temperature more readily — you might find you can run a slightly lower tube temperature setting than before.
A minute or two, and the hose stays connected throughout.
Fit it on a dry hose. Trapping moisture under fleece is the one way a cover can make hygiene worse rather than better.
A cover reduces rainout by insulating the tube, which is often enough on a mildly cool night. If you're still waking to water in the mask, it's a temperature-and-humidity balance problem and these are the usual levers.
A cover protects the outside of the hose. These look after the inside, and the rest of the setup.
Regular washing keeps the hose cover fresh and the fleece soft. Every two to four weeks is usually enough, since it doesn't touch your skin the way strap covers do.

Pressure settings are prescribed by your clinician. Humidifier and tube temperature settings are comfort settings you can usually adjust yourself — check your machine's user guide first, and ask your provider if you are unsure. If you notice any change in airflow or therapy performance after fitting the cover, remove it and consult your CPAP provider or healthcare professional.
