A pack of two ResLab silicone replacement cushions designed for compatibility with the ResMed AirFit™ F40 full face CPAP mask. Replacing the cushion on schedule restores the seal, brings back comfort and keeps your therapy effective — at a fraction of the cost of a whole new mask.
The cushion is the only part of your mask that touches your face all night, and it's the part that wears out first. Soft silicone gradually stretches and softens with nightly use, facial oils and washing, and once it loses its shape the seal starts to break down — air escaping past your cheeks, water running into your eyes, a mask you keep tightening, or leak figures creeping up on your machine.
Two cushions covers two full replacement cycles — roughly two to six months depending on how quickly yours wear. Fit one now and keep the second sealed in the drawer, so the night your cushion finally gives out isn't the night you discover you've nothing to replace it with.

All sizes fit the same F40 frame, so changing size later means a new cushion, never a new mask. Both cushions in this pack are the size you select, and sizes cannot be mixed within a pack.
Cushions are not interchangeable between ResMed mask families — each is moulded to a specific frame. Check the model printed on your frame before ordering, and if you're unsure, ask us first. Worth two minutes of checking before you buy a pack.
A fresh cushion seals with far less tension than the worn one you're taking off, so your current strap settings will be too tight. This applies to both cushions in the pack — over-tightening a new one is the fastest way to wear it out early.
Two cushions covers you for several months. In that time your headgear and tubing will come due as well — worth planning for.
Regular cleaning extends the life of each cushion and helps maintain hygiene for safe, effective therapy.
This pack restores the performance of your AirFit F40 twice over without the cost of a full mask replacement. The soft silicone construction conforms to your facial contours for a secure seal all night, and the cushions themselves contain no magnetic components. Two cushions covers two full replacement cycles at a lower cost per cushion than buying singly — and because the spare is already in the drawer, there's no reason to run a worn seal for an extra month while you wait for a delivery.

Magnets and implanted medical devices. These cushions contain no magnets. However, the AirFit F40 headgear uses magnetic clips, so the assembled mask is not magnet-free. Magnets can interfere with implanted devices and metallic implants. Consult your doctor and your device manufacturer before using a mask with magnetic clips if you or anyone sharing your bed has:
If any of these apply, speak to your clinician about ResMed's non-magnetic headgear options before use, and keep magnetic components at least 150 mm from any implanted device.
Confirm the cushions match your exact mask model and size before use — an incorrect fit reduces seal quality and therapy effectiveness, and a pack in the wrong size doubles the cost of the mistake. Do not share a cushion between users. Cushions are single-user items; if more than one person in your household uses an F40, each needs their own, in their own size. Inspect each cushion before fitting and during use for cracking, stiffening or discolouration, and replace it if the seal is compromised. Never block or modify the mask vent, which is how exhaled air leaves the mask; a blocked vent allows carbon dioxide to build up inside the mask.
Please refer to the official AirFit F40 user guide supplied with your mask for complete information on contraindications, warnings, precautions and instructions for use, and consult your healthcare provider to determine whether this device is appropriate for the treatment of your obstructive sleep apnoea. If you notice persistent leaks, discomfort, skin irritation or any change in mask performance after fitting, discontinue use and consult your CPAP provider or healthcare professional.
Disposal and the environment. Do not dispose of this product with household waste. Dispose of it in accordance with local regulations for medical devices. Packaging materials are recyclable where facilities exist.
