The Universal CPAP Headgear Strap Covers add a soft cushioning layer between your skin and your mask straps. Made from premium fleece, they help reduce the pressure marks, friction and irritation that a night of therapy can leave behind.
Straps sit against the same two or four places on your face for seven or eight hours at a stretch, and the fabric most headgear is made from isn't soft — it's engineered to hold tension without stretching. Over weeks that shows up as red lines across the cheeks, sore spots behind the ears, and the chafing that makes people start taking the mask off at 3am. A fleece sleeve spreads the load and takes the friction instead of your skin.
Four covers are included, which is enough for a typical four-strap headgear — or two sets for the lower straps, so there's always a clean pair while the others dry. They wrap around your existing straps in seconds, with nothing to fit and no change to your mask setup.

Crown-strap masks: masks such as the AirFit N30i, P30i and F30i route their straps over the top of the head rather than across the cheeks, so the pressure points and strap shapes differ. Check your strap width against the measurements above, or ask us before ordering.

Start with the two straps that cross your cheeks — most people find that's enough, and it leaves two spare covers to rotate while the first pair is drying.
Strap covers deal with friction and pressure where the strap meets your skin. If the marks persist, the cause is usually tension — and tension usually comes from something else being worn.
Fleece sits against your skin all night and absorbs facial oils, so it needs washing more often than the straps underneath.
Tight headgear straps can leave red marks and irritation after a full night's therapy. These covers are designed for use on CPAP and BiPAP mask headgear straps only. They must not be placed over the mask cushion, the frame, the elbow or any vent — the vent is how exhaled air leaves the mask and must never be covered or obstructed.
Make sure the covers are properly fitted and cannot slip out of position during sleep, and re-check your strap tension after fitting them, since the added thickness changes how tight the straps feel. Do not over-tighten the headgear to compensate for a mask that has stopped sealing — that is usually a sign the cushion or headgear needs replacing.
Clean the covers regularly and inspect them for wear. Replace them if the fleece becomes flat, matted or loose on the strap. If skin irritation, a rash or pressure sores persist or worsen despite using the covers, stop using them and speak to your CPAP provider or healthcare professional.
